Your work environment

Blauwtrust Groep provides high-quality financial services and products to the Dutch mortgage market. The company focuses on consumers as well as brokers and investors. Blauwtrust Groep consists of multiple operating companies – with more than eight hundred employees in total – that operate the entire value chain together, from management and administration to in-house advisory offices. These operating companies include:

• De Hypotheker – the largest independent mortgage broker in the Netherlands. This franchise network has 178 branches across the country, with more than a hundred thousand advisory sessions and thirty thousand mortgages annually.
• Quion – a business partner for major financial institutions like ABN AMRO, Achmea, Allianz, BNP Paribas, and NIBC. The company handles all the processes surrounding the generation and management of mortgages and consumer loans for its clients. Quion has more than eighty billion euros under management.
• DMPM – a fast-growing platform that offers institutional investors and asset managers, at home and abroad, the opportunity to invest directly in Dutch residential mortgages. The company has an active portfolio worth more than eleven billion euros.
• Romeo (acquired early 2022) – founded in 2015, the subsidiary offers service providing for its clients and software to financial advisors.

With 30+ years of experience Blauwtrust Groep has built a solid position in the Dutch residential mortgage market by providing consumers, intermediaries and investors with high quality products and services.

In January 2022, Blackfin Capital Partners became the majority shareholder of Blauwtrust Groep. Blackfin is a leading European PE investor specializing in financial services, with offices in Paris, London, Frankfurt, Brussels, and soon Amsterdam. Blackfin is an active, influential investor, supporting management teams to take their companies to the next level.

The holding company, Blauwtrust Groep, sets group-wide strategy, goals and parameters in order to give guidelines to the subsidiary companies and to serve them with the appropriate support in, amongst other things, accounting & financial control, group control, compliance, audit, legal & privacy, transformation & change.

The transformation office, led by the Director Business Transformation, is the competency which helps the company accelerate organic growth, lead strategic transformations, and support potential M&As.

What will you do?

The Transformation manager will be responsible for accelerating the value creation through initiating and leading various (strategic) transformation projects. The transformation manager will lead project teams and collaborate with Blauwtrust’s senior leaders. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the strategic course of the company and contribute in creating value for Blauwtrust Groep and its OpCos. The transformation office is positioned under the group COO, and you will report to the Director Business Transformation.

What do you need for this position?

As Transformation manager, you combine your critical and independent view with a proactive "hands-on" mentality. BTG is growing and is therefore on the move; you fit into such a working environment. You think in solutions and you know what, when and how to delegate. You are a solid conversation partner, you can connect, prioritise and switch quickly. You know how to analyse value creation pockets and turn these analyses into transformation initiatives.

In addition

• You have at least 5 years of working experience within (strategy) consulting or at corporate level driving change;
• You have experience with one or more of the following topics: operational excellence, commercial excellence, strategy design, cost reductions, go-to-market approach, digital transformation, organizational changes, post-merger integrations, regulatory change;
• You have strategic, analytical, and project management skills;
• You possess a communication style which is able to challenge senior leadership and connects and involves various stakeholders in in transformations;
• You have an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and are a self-starter.
